Our department was established as the Department of Education within Hacettepe University in 1967-1968.In 1982, with the establishment of the Faculty of Education, the Department of Education was transformed into the Department of Educational Sciences and its departments were determined.Our department, which offered undergraduate degrees between 1982-1997 academic years, has been offering courses for graduate education and teaching certification since its establishment.
Among the pioneers of the department are Prof. Dr. Yahya Kemal KAYA, Prof. Dr. Mustafa AYDIN and Prof. Dr. Sudi BÜLBÜL, whom we remember with mercy, and Prof. Dr. Aytaç AÇIKALIN and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin BAŞAR, whom we wish to live long.
